Rutgers Southern Regional Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) Agency services Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties. We are a multi-functional organization dedicated to supporting the availability of affordable child care and promoting high-quality early care and education for young children in Southern New Jersey. Rutgers Southern Regional CCR&R provides support to families; support for individuals and programs that care for children; builds connections in communities and within the State; compiles, analyzes, and shares data for a variety of efforts and initiatives; and serves to promote and implement the concept that quality child care requires the involvement of all segments and stakeholders in the community.
Financial Assistance
We provide Financial Assistance on behalf of the child for eligible families. To be eligible, parents must be employed full-time, enrolled in school/training full time or a combination of work and school. The household income must be under the gross maximum income guidelines according to family size.
Resource & Referral Specialists
Our team of Resource and Referral Specialists assist parents in finding a childcare provider. We maintain a database of licensed child care centers, Family Child Care providers, school-age programs, pre-schools, and summer camps. The Resource & Referral service is free.
Professional Development
Rutgers Southern Regional CCR&R coordinates an early childhood training calendar. The coordination of a seamless and consistent training platform to ensure greater access for childcare professionals in the Southern New Jersey Region. In addition to supporting childcare providers’ efforts to improve their programs, we ensure these individuals gain greater insight into the early childhood profession and its standards.
