The New Jersey Parents’ Caucus, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit coalition of parents, caregivers and young adults with lived experience whose mission is to ensure that families raising children, ages 0 to 26, with emotional, behavioral, mental health and substance use challenges have the opportunity to play a strong and active role in the development and delivery of services in the mental health, juvenile justice and child welfare systems.

Parents Empowerment Academy
?Training and education program for parents, by parents. We offer free workshops, training, and certifications to parents and caregivers on a variety of topics related to improving the quality of life for families raising children with emotional and behavioral challenges.
Children of Children in Prison
Provides food security, clothing donations, and gift cards to the children of children who were waived to an adult prison, between the ages of 14 and 17, and are parents. The gift cards are provided to the children and are used to purchase much-needed items, such as clothing and coats, in preparation for school and winter months.
Literary Arts Program
Assists incarcerated youth to tell and publish their stories as part of their reentry program and provides an additional source of income as they return to their community. Currently, the program has supported two books which are now available through Amazon.
Mental Health & Smart Recovery
Provides access to Youth Advocate Leaders.The program services young adults who are struggling with mental health and substance use challenges and are feeling stressed and need to share with other young adults with lived experience. In addition, the program provides information & referrals, and training.
N.J. Youth Garden
Join local garden projects. All garden clubs are led by adult volunteers and supported by community partner organizations.
Tutoring Program
For middle and high school-aged teens struggling with STEM courses and the impact of Covid.
NJ Youth Caucus
The New Jersey Youth Caucus is comprised of youth with emotional and/or behavioral health needs who have prior or current involvement in the juvenile justice system.
Parents Coalition
For parents, caregivers, and family members raising children with mental health and substance use challenges who are involved in the children’s mental health or juvenile justice system.
Parents Support Group
A place for parents and caregivers to give and receive both emotional and practical support, as well as to share information on parenting children with mental health and substance use challenges.
