SJLS Guardianship Project For Children

The Guardianship Project was started as a solution to a pervasive problem facing many parents who have children with disabilities. This Project is a collaborative effort between South Jersey Legal Services, Inc. (SJLS) and private, volunteer attorneys in our nine county service area who assist low-income families in gaining guardianship.

Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide

SPTS was founded in 2005 by two Monmouth county fathers, who each experienced the devastating loss of a teenage child by suicide. We firmly believe that accessible quality education and public awareness about teen suicide can save young lives. Our mission is to reduce the number of youth suicides and attempted suicides by encouraging public awareness through the development and promotion of educational training programs.

Special Child Health Services - Cape May County

Special Child Health Services helps families meet the needs of their children and assist in accessing community resources. Services are available to any family with a child from birth to 21 years of age who is diagnosed with or later develops a condition that can impact upon development, learning, or physical disability. These services are offered at no cost to families.

Special Child Health Services - Case Management / Care Units

Each of the State’s 21 counties has an SCHS Case Management Unit jointly funded by SCHS and the county freeholders. SCHS Case Managers, with parental consent, work with the child’s parents and the physician to evaluate an affected child’s strengths and needs; and develops an individual service plan for the child and family. Medical, educational, developmental, social and economic needs of the child and family are targeted.

SPWA Services, LLC

Support Coordination, a Medicaid funded service, guides adults with special needs (aka individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or I/DD) and their families to plan and access a myriad of support services.

We provide outpatient counseling, in-home counseling, and behavioral assistance (IIC/BA) for children and families, and classroom support training.

Sunny Days Sunshine Center

Sunny Days Sunshine Center is dedicated to children birth-18 who may be experiencing challenges with learning, speech-language, feeding, behavioral, social skills, sensory processing, and/or motor development. We provide individual and group therapy sessions that are Center based, Community based, Home based & During Covid-19 we offer Virtual Therapy Sessions. The Sunshine Center believes in a hands on approach, collaboration, family training, and most importantly generalization in multiple settings.

TeamCare

TeamCare LLC is an approved respite care, Intensive In-Home (IIH), and Intensive In-Community (IIC) provider through the NJ Department of Children and Families, Children's System of Care (CSOC). We provide agency hired respite care as well as self hired respite care reimbursement.

Programs include residential treatment centers for pregnant and parenting women and their children.
