CE Workshop for Therapists

A virtual workshop for mental health professionals to learn how to support parents of 3-8 year old's in having open and honest conversations with their children about challenging events and topics like divorce and death. 

Learning Objectives
Participants will be able to:?

  • Identify typical cognitive development for children ages 3-8 and how they understand concepts like death and loss.
  • Recognize barriers parents can have when communicating with their child about difficult topics
  • Identify ways in which parents can optimize effective communication with their child 

This workshop is meant to provide a general understanding of what a clinician should know about child development for ages 3-8 and how to guide caregivers in having conversations about uncomfortable topics like death and divorce. 

Please note: This workshop only offers CEs for NBCC credit.
